Lately, I've been on a T-Shirt kick; I've seen some really cute ones with cheeky phrases on them. I love comfy, loose tees; I'm not one to wear a crop-top or junior fit. Here's my first Shellac manicure of the season (and year)! I thought this gray would make for a good neutral that would go with everything yet it's got a bit more edge  than say a nude or tan. 2 thin coats worked perfect. My first coat looked like it would be too thin but it wasnt and it kept me from getting pooling at the cuticle and sides of my nails. I always have an issue getting good coverage on the free edge and I'm not sure why. Although in reality it isn't as noticeable as it is in the photos. I need to crack open a new top coat; I think this is why I am getting some bubbling. When I was on the e.l.f. website I noticed some new(ish) colors so I thought we should take a look at them! I know these are not really Winter or Holiday colors but let's be honest it's gonna be over in a flash and then it will be Spring. These are very versatile colors and a sparkly top coat (Twinkle Twilight) just gives you even more ways to rock them.  Prissy Chrissy   made me laugh; that name! I knew a Chrissy back in my school days who was definitly prissy. This soft peach creme is a nice palette cleanser but not quite a nude so you still get some nice color. I used 2 coats for this swatch stick but I really think this one will need 3 to eliminate any streaks and sheer spots. The creamy fomula was easy to apply. I have nothing quite like Prissy Chrissy; it's definitly a peach tone but with a touch of pink and has a brightness to it like nothing in my stash. Because this is warmer toned than Barielle's Kiss Me Kate I don't think it will give me lobster hands.  ...

I did quite a few Halloween Inspired full face looks this month but didn't get photos of them simply becase this month has been so hectic with our sudden move. I've had to literally SQUEEZE time in to do the looks but there wasn't any time to photograph them. Except for this one. So, here it is! The eye is a basic smokey eye but I extended it out a bit to make it longer at the outter eye. It was done using the 5th column of Urban Decay's Vice 3 palette . I applied Defy to the majority of my lid and up into the crease. I deepened the outter corner with Revolver and also brought it up into my crease. I then used Angel to blend the crease up and out. I applied Last Sin to my brow bone. This gives you a very shimmery result which I think is great at Halloween but also great to amp up a look.  I used My Pretty Zombie's Drugs Like Me Blush in Morphine to the hollows of my cheeks. But when you go online to U-Haul to reserve a 26' truck on tuesday and this happens: (If you dont want to bother with this part just scroll down) - U-Haul Rep calls to go over details on Wednesday; it's a mess. - U-Haul Rep says they will call you on Thursday to let you know where you can get 26' Truck. - No call from U-Haul Rep on Thursday. - Call U-Haul Rep on Friday and ask whats going on. They say we will have the truck tomorrow morning ready to go. - Go to pick up U-Haul Truck; Not Available.  GRRRRRRR... - Go home; call another U-Haul. - Finally talk to someone who knows what they are doing and set-up reservation for Monday. Hey Gang! Barielle sent me one of their newest collections for Fall to show you. Since I'm not one to do a swatch-a-thon (seriously tough on my nails) I did some nail art. I was inspired by Let Them Have Polish when she did this with a Zoya Collection recently. Index and Middle: 2 coats of Boho Chic as my base color; dotting done with Vintage Gown. Ring and Pinky: 2 coats of Moda Bleu as my base color; dotting done with Taupe Notch. For the dotting I used different sized dotting tools; you can pick up a set here . After it was completly dry I added one coat of In A Hurry Air Dry Top Coat. The Me Couture Collection consists of 6 colors; 5 cremes and 1 creme with slight shimmer. These all have a very consistent formula and are easy 2 coaters.  From Left to Right: Boho Chic : The bottle shot looks teal but on the nail its a forest green creme. Moda Bleu : A dark navy blue creme. Brighter than Milani's Enchanted Sapphire, deeper than China Glaze's One Track Mind. Taupe Notch...

I recently participated in an online Jamberry Nails party. I got some samples to try (but still bought some full sets before trying the samples... Doh!) and I thought I would do a black and white monochrome skittle with them. Thumb: 2 coats of ManGlaze, Matte Is Murder . Index: Started with 2 coats of China Glaze, White On White . One coat of Picture Polish, Atomic . Middle: Jamberry Black and White Chevron nail strip. Ring: 2 coats of ManGlaze, Fuggen Ugly . Pinkie: Jamberry Black & White Quad nail strip. I top coated all my nails with In A Hurry (sadly, I got some bubbles). I've been watching lots of grav3yardgirl 's videos lately and I think that's where I got the inspiration to do these. She loves her black and white nails! I got these samples from my Jamberry Nails Consultant, Theresa Brown . 

Guess what else arrived in the mail? That's right, the other new Barielle collection! This is much more of my idea of a Spring collection. Let's take a look... The formula is a cross between a creme and a jelly; a crelly. A very opaque crelly. What you see here is 2 coats and no top coat. I'm very happy to see a serious orange in Barielle's line up; one of my favorite nail colors is orange. This orange is also very unique to my stash. When I was browsing www.eyeslipsface.com to pick out some goodies for my giveaway I noticed they had new colors listed. I tried to pull up swatches online to check them out but I couldn't find any. So, guess what?!? I bought them! I did 2 coats for each swatch just to make sure they photographed well. Check them out:

Daring Digits, Girl's Night Out. 2 coats. Please ignore my paper cut... School can be dangerous. My chica, Erika, and I went to see an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band by the name of Zepperella so in preparation I thought this polish would be perfect... Except her husband decided he wanted to come along at the last moment. LOL. It wasn't a problem because he's a really nice guy but it ruined my idea for a post. ;-) Regardless, Girl's Night Out doesn't necessarily need to be worn exclusively for a girl's night out because it is a stunning polish. I've had this for way too long and it's been sitting there staring at me. I'm glad I finally wore it because now I know I will be wearing it often. Girl's Night Out is a a dark charcoal grey jelly base loaded with multicolored shimmer and some holographic glitter too. Consistency is very jelly like which makes it easy to apply.
