Jamberry Nail Wraps in Tennis for Penny's Birthday!

Image
I know I've been slacking on my blog lately but that's life; it's complicated and really not anything worth mentioning so let's just focus on today. Shall we? #PennyThePolishPickingPuppy turned 7 on May 21st. To celebrate I put one of her very favorite things on my nails; Tennis Balls. That's not all we did; we took a trip to Petco (Where The Pets Go) and had some fun checking out toys & treats. In addition to her hashtag on Instagram she also has a YouTube Channel . She sometimes picks my polish for me. Jamberry Nail Wraps are fun but not very practical. They take some getting used to as far as application goes and they hold up even worse than nail polish (at least for me). There are 2 things I really dislike about them; 1) Filing off the free edge and 2) after a few days the cuticle end begins to loosen and when I wash my hair or even run my fingers through my hair, my hair gets caught in the wrap. It rips my hair out and feels really bizarre; like nail...

4th of July Fail!

These were the only two left to photograph. Hey Kids! (That's what I always say to my pets)  I thought I would wear my Jamberry Nail Strips in Born To Sparkle today. I absolutely love the colors and print of these. These were the exclusive Sisters Style for the month if June and are no longer available for purchase. Half of them are in the red with white stars and the other half are in the red to silver gradient. You can apply them as you like; as an accent nail, alternating (which is what I originally did here), or any way that suits your fancy. They are also very fitting for the occasion. The last time I wore some Jamberry Nail Strips was when I did this Black & White Skittle. When I wore these I had a bit of a problem with the edges pulling up and away from the nail. It was really annoying when washing and styling my hair; they kept getting caught.  This time I thought I would try to add a base coat that would help keep the strips adhered to my nails. Black and White Monochrome Skittles.

I recently participated in an online Jamberry Nails party. I got some samples to try (but still bought some full sets before trying the samples... Doh!) and I thought I would do a black and white monochrome skittle with them. Thumb: 2 coats of ManGlaze, Matte Is Murder . Index: Started with 2 coats of China Glaze, White On White . One coat of Picture Polish, Atomic . Middle: Jamberry Black and White Chevron nail strip. Ring: 2 coats of ManGlaze, Fuggen Ugly . Pinkie: Jamberry Black & White Quad nail strip. I top coated all my nails with In A Hurry (sadly, I got some bubbles). I've been watching lots of grav3yardgirl 's videos lately and I think that's where I got the inspiration to do these. She loves her black and white nails! I got these samples from my Jamberry Nails Consultant, Theresa Brown .
