Who's ready for some holographic goodness? This bronzey brown holo is packing a serious linear holo and it even jumps out at you in shade. Indoors it comes off as a sparkly neutral brown. Dance Legend, Robots vs Humans. The formula on Robots vs Humans was nice and pretty easy to apply; 2 coats gave me a nice opacity and dry time was average. I did use a base coat of Nfu-Oh Aqua Base; keep in mind I do not believe Nfu-Oh is cruelty free. I bought this years ago when I was under the impression it was CF but with the recent info on animal testing I seriously doubt they would be considered CF. I couldn't find any solid info on their product(s) and animal testing. Now, Aqua Bases are some of the best types of bases to use with holos; they apply easier & wear longer... But I experienced an issue with wear. After only 2 hours (and zero wear & tear) I experienced chipping on my left hand. Really? Chipping after a few hours? That is a disappointment. Check out this awesome red/orange neon my friend, Abbey, sent to me! Sunlight. It was super hard to get a good picture because it is so bright it freaked out my camera/phone. Sunlight, again. Pool Party is from the Poolside Collection which was released for the Summer of 2010. I've also got Kiwi Cool-Ada & Flip Flop Fantasy from this collection. Formula is a little on the sheer side and I did have some visible nail line but it wasn't enough to bother me. You can always use an opaque white base under neons but I honestly don't mind a little bit of VNL; especially when the formula self levels well (which this did). I used 2 coats for most nails but a few nails did require a 3rd coat, for some reason a few of them looked sheerer than the rest but that's probably due to my application. e.l.f , Party Peach & Dollish Polish , Bazinga! I was going somewhere bright and funky and ended up with autumn. Perhaps a little pumpkin spice... 2 coats of e.l.f. , Party Peach , a (not-so-much-peach) orange cream. Very opaque but a little thick and streaky; I added some thinner and it helped. I really love orange. I was on their site and realized they don't have much for individual polishes right now but it looks like they have new trios . A few of them have peaked my interest... Dollish Polish , Bazinga! is a really fun glitter in a clear base; there's a very slight yellow tinge to the base but it didn't affect Party Peach when layered on top. Dollish Polish uses a special suspension base to prevent her glitters from sinking to the bottom and settling. This results in a thicker formula. We're back with another Wear Test! I told you I would be trying China Glazes' new EverGlaze Extended Wear nail color and that's exactly what I did. This wear test actually turned out quite a bit better than my last. I'm sure you can already see that from the above photo. So, let's get to it.

Applying for jobs is a full-time job ya'll.... I've been hitting it extra hard lately. I've had some success (which has been a long time coming) so I'm really hoping good things come of it. Meanwhile, I did manage to paint both my finger nails and toe nails this gorgeous summery shade. Zoya, Myrta is described on Zoya's website as: 'a warm medium orange coral with red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish. The coral color of Myrta is soft, but the foil finish gives it added warmth and glow.' I think that description is dead-on accurate. I love these types of corals for summer. It's no secret that one of my all time favorite nail polishes is Essie's Escapades which is also in that same color family. It's a shame that Essie is no longer cruelty free. It's another Wear Test! After I perused some blog posts/reviews about some of the latest 'Extended Wear' type lacquers I actually found a resounding amount of reviewers that felt the FingerPaints new Endless Wear System was better than the China Glaze and Orly ones. So, I decided to give it a run. Here's the deets: Many reviewers mentioned the formula on this polish as being better than the others and I have to say I felt the formula applied beautifully. It was just the perfect consistency and I had very little clean up if any. The brush worked well for a clean line at the cuticle and I didn't have any issues with drag. The formula is on the thin side and I did notice it was a little sheer but not enough to require a 3rd coat (I used 2 coats). With this Endless Wear System you don't use a separate base coat; the Long Wear Color has a built-in base coat. Dry time on the color was fast too.
