Icing, Pre-Game.

Icing, Pre-Game. 2 coats over:

Barielle, Hidden Hideaway.

Please excuse the dry skin on my index and middle; my skin is still getting used to the colder evenings.

I love this shredded glitter; it consists of red, blue, green, gold, silver, and magenta mylar shreds in a clear base. It reminds me of Mardi Gras. Application can be a little tricky with this one; the good news is this glitter has a really nice suspension base so you don't ever have to fish for glitter. The downside is you get a little too much of the base with traditional application and it floods the nail. I adjusted to accommodate this by simply dropping a dollop of the glitter packed polish on my nail and then wiping the brush off on the rim of the bottle. I then spread the dollop of glitter over the nail. It worked great. Some nails got a ton of glitter and some not enough so I did a second coat to get plenty of glitter on each nail. It dried pretty quick and I used 2 coats of Seche Vite because some of the pieces didn't lay flat. There are still some bumps I can feel but I can live with it; I'm not having any issues with them snagging on anything.

I get my Icing polishes at local Icing Stores here in Southern California. They are usually on a Buy One, Get One Half Off sale. You can use their Store Locator at www.Icing.com to find a store near you. It doesn't look like they sell their products online but you might find them on eBay.

Today, I will be working on something very special I have in store for you. I love doing a Holiday Giveaway and if you were a fan on my Facebook Page last December you know I gave one lucky person Lynnderella's Happy Holo-daze. It was THE glitter for the holidays last year before all the drama hit the fan. This year I'm bumping it up a notch (or two) so be sure to check back here on Dec. 1st to see what I've got in store for you!

Note: Icing's parent company is Claire's Stores Inc. and their distributor is CBI Dist. Corp. None of these names are listed on PETA's Do Test or Don't Test lists. None of these names are listed on Leaping Bunny's lists. If you do a general search on the internet you will see an employee states they do not test on animals. I also found that they do not sell product in China on THIS page. I am going to email them as well as ask on their Facebook Page and I will update this when I receive more information. EDIT: 11/30/12 @ 10:00pm I received a response via Facebook and they confirmed that they do not conduct animal testing on their products and that their 3rd party suppliers do not test on animals.
