Barielle's Valentine's Manicure Contest.

I was running a little behind but I finally did my nails for Barielle's Valentine's Contest. My poor index nail broke last week :( I used a bunch of different Barielle Shades starting with 2 coats of Almondine , an off white creme. The formula was streaky even after two coats but I've seen this one used in a water marble and it looked great so maybe I can attempt one of those soon.  I sponged on Blossom , a pink coral creme, about 3/4 of my nail. This is a really pretty pop of color.  I then sponged on Welcome Ohm , a soft purple creme. I topped it with one of Barielle's glitters, Purple Hearts . This is quickly becoming my favorite glitter because I use it more than any other glitter in my stash. It's a combo of purple and silver glitter but no actual heart glitters are in it. I grabbed a few random silver heart glitters and placed one on each nail. I then topped it with 2 coats of In A Hurry, my favorite fast dry top coat. I would love it if you would vote for my

I just can't stop with the textures; I love them so much! Please forgive me if you are not a fan of textures. I am trying to scatter other types of polish between my textures but I do realize they are starting to dominate the blog.  Here we have a magenta pink glittery texture from Zoya: Arabella . The formula was actually much nicer with Arabella in comparison to Tomoko. The brush did fan out nicely on the nail and I got really precise application. 2 fast drying coats and I was done!  I thought I would pull out some pinks for the month of February and hopefully I will have the opportunity to do some nail art too, but no promises. Tax Season has been unpredictable and it's been coming in ebs and flows unlike prior years. The hubby also started a job for the plumbers union and he is up in Barstow all week long working 6 10's. So, I miss my better half.  Arabella is available on Zoya's website . Be sure to sign up for an account because they had had some great promos rece

Finger Paints, You Yacht To Know Better.

I've got the Alanis Morisette song stuck in my head now. It's actually not a bad song to have stuck in your head so it's all good. You Yacht To Know Better is a very pretty dusty blue shimmer with blue glitter. It leans a little dark on me but I'm very pale. If you are a fan of navy blues I think you will love this. It's not the best color on me though. I tend towards brighter blues.  What you see here is 2 coats. The formula was a little on the thick side and the brush didn't want to fan out on the nail so I had more clean up than usual. But you could easily add thinner to remedy this issue (I don't know why I didn't). It dried pretty quick but left a little texture behind due to the blue micro glitter. I topped it with a coat of In A Hurry to get a glossy finish. After a few days I topped it with a glitter; Lynnderella's Boy-Girl Party. I know I swore off Lynnderella's but I snapped this up from a stash sale for a really good price. The applica
