I've got two of the new Neon Collision polishes from Salon Perfect. Kaboom. 3 coats. Shocked. 3 coats. On a trip to my local Walmart I got super lucky and found an enormous cardboard display the size of a SmartCar full of these Salon Perfect polishes. Because it is so rare to find a full collection/display at my particular Walmart, I went ahead and bought all 6. For me that's really not that crazy because I love matte glitter. Plus, the price point is excellent; $3.99 ea. However, I did post a picture as I was standing in the checkout line stating I needed an intervention. Soon after that I put myself on a No-Buy. No polish purchases until July 12th. Then, I will reward myself... Hee Hee Hee. The formula on these is tricky. Let's start with Kaboom; an awesome mix of blue and lime green matte glitters. This resembles a popular indie we all know and love called 'Floam' . It's probably the Holy Grail of polish. I don't own it but I own some of the o
China Glaze, Red Satin. 3 coats. Sunlight. I've been a little obsessed with red polish lately. It all started when I was looking for a good red polish and I realized that a good chunk of my red collection was not cruelty free. So, I began my hunt to find cruelty free replacements. Luckily, we have a huge surplus of great reds in current collections. Red Satin is one of the reds I decided to add to my collection. It came from China Glaze's Holiday 2012 Collection with quite a few other great reds. This one is a bit different because it is a jelly finish. It gives a nice squishy appearance on the nail yet builds up to opacity nicely in 3 coats. I highly recommend letting each coat dry thoroughly before adding the next. The formula is a little on the thin side and you need to be careful in application to avoid pooling at the cuticle. Dry time did take significantly longer due to the need for 3 coats, but I kind of feel it was worth it. Red Satin looks quite similar to
It's always been a battle for me to find a good foundation. Between adult acne, acne scars, redness, enlarged pores, under eye circles, deep lines, and an Oily T-Zone... I'm screwed. Ha! Ha! Sorry, you just gotta laugh. I mean, if I ever find anyone with more going on I would have no choice but to cry for them. I also have the annoying issue of my skin sometimes deciding to change its mind during season changes. I can go 6 months with incredibly oily skin and then wake up one morning with my skin so tight and dry it feels like it's about to tear. I sometimes battle dry patches on my chin and by my lips. Which makes no since because I always wear lip balm, moisturizer, and my T-Zone is often so oily you can oil up a hinge with the oil on my face by 3pm. I've been hearing raving reviews all over the blogosphere about Cover FX products so when I heard they were coming out with this new BB Gel I instantly knew I would be ordering it. Now, this product is not cheap at $4
