NYX Girls, Buzz Worthy. 1 coat over:
China Glaze, Red Satin.
Happy New Years Eve! This is also my 60th post so there's even more cause to celebrate!!! I hope you all had a great weekend too; mine consisted of housework and cleaning. The hubby and I are hosting a Game Night tonight with some friends and family. I'm looking forward to it!
Buzz Worthy is another NYX Girls polish I picked up at a local Cinderella store in Rancho Cucamonga,CA. Buzz Worthy is different from Mushroom Glitter in that it has more texture and the glitter is not foil like. I would say this is a mix of 60% Gold and 40% Silver glitter. It also appears that the gold glitter is slightly larger than the silver and it is irregularly shaped.
Formula was very easy to work with; it was easy to control on the nail and you get really good glitter coverage. It's slightly gritty but nothing like some other glitters I've worn and one coat of top coat with smooth it out nicely. No need for multiple layers. However, since I love to use my Gelous I used one coat and then finished with Sech Vite. I ended up with a really thick mani and it started to pull up at the edges of my nails. A sign that I have waaaaay too much polish on my nails... LOL... 1+3+1+1+1+1=8 layers of polish!! Base coat, 3 coats of China Glaze, Red Satin, 1 coat of Seche Vite, 1 coat of Buzz Worthy, 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite! YOWZA!
I want to try wearing this one alone like I did with Mushroom Glitter. I think 3 coats could get it opaque; here it is on the nail wheel at 2 coats:
I also layered it over the same colors I layered Mushroom Glitter over. It looks similar but the little extra gold tone gives it a different effect. 1. China Glaze, Swanky Silk, 2. Man Glaze, Fuggen Ugly, 3. Bettina, Mojito, and 4. Barielle, Jordana's Skinny Jeans.
I love playing around with polish like this to see how it works with different colors. My favorite is over China Glaze's Swanky Silk and I thought that would have been my least favorite. Do you guys like it when I post these nail wheel swatches??? Yay or Nay? Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful time ringing in the New Year! May 2013 be your best year yet!
