Salon Perfect, Razzle Dazzle - Another Wear Test.

Image
Salon Perfect, Razzle Dazzle - Day 1 When I picked up Salon Perfect's The Manicure System I also got a few colors that included this one. Razzle Dazzle is a purple jelly packed with silver holographic glitter. 2 coats were good enough opacity for me. The formula is pretty thick but if you don't overwork the polish it applies pretty evenly. It also gives that great squishy jelly effect while covering up VNL (visible nail line). No need to fuss with glitter placement either. It does dry to a gritty glittery finish. Once again I am using The Manicure System to see how it holds up with a Salon Perfect color. See my 1st wear test: Kell's DIY Nails: Salon Perfect: The Manicure System Wear Test Results. I used 2 coats of the Top Coat to smooth out the gritty glitters. All went well with application and it actually held up beautifully through the 6 days I wore it. I worked out, did dishes, gardening, and pet care among other things during wear. Lots of exposure to water. ...

Are you guys ready to see the results of my wear test? Then let's get on with it! You can see my original post here: Salon Perfect: The Manicure System Wear Test - Day 1. Day 2 was pretty uneventful; I did some minor work on the computer, made a Coffee and Brown Sugar Body Scrub with Coconut Oil, and brewed some iced tea. I didn't see any wear on my nails. Day 3 is a different story; I made Corned Beef & Cabbage in the Crock Pot so I spent a good amount of time prepping potatoes, carrots, and cabbage in the kitchen. My nails spent a considerable amount of time in water during prep and this is where my nail polish took a pretty big hit. As you can see there is considerable chipping. The oddest wear though is the chipping on my ring nail; this nail (along with my pinkie) is usually unaffected when it comes to chipping & wear. Very strange. Everything went down hill from Day 3: more chipping & peeling occured on days 4 & 5. Not pretty. Especially since I didn...

Hey Gang! I've been back from vacation for a week now and I'm ready to go back! Anyways, whenever we go to the river we always make several trips to the Walmart in Bullhead City, AZ to grab necessities and snacks (oh, and water too!). I also love to check out their Cosmetics Department because many times I find things there that I don't see at my local Walmart stores. Every trip I end up picking up something and this trip was no different. I actually found all three of the Hard Candy Eye Palettes in Sassy Eyes, Smokey Eyes, and Neutral Eyes (FYI: These are really great little palettes that remind me of the Tin Palettes from Too Faced; check 'em out if you get a chance!) as well as Salon Perfect's The Manicure System . I hadn't spotted this locally so I thought I would give it a go and we can see how well it works together! Sound like FUN?!? This system consists of a Nail Cleanser, Bonding Base Coat, and High-Shine Top Coat. The Nail Cleanser is ba...

Finish 5 By Cinco de Mayo: Finale!

Image
It's the end! Yayus! I was getting pretty burnt out on this challenge so I'm glad it's over! See my  intro post here ! Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo was started by  Megsmakeup8 ! Let's see how I did: -  Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick  in Purty Persimmon: My least used of the bunch simply because you have to be wearing clothing in colors that will not clash with this bold Red/Orange lip. This is still a favorite of mine and it wears the longest out of the bunch. I used about .15 of an inch. -  Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss  in Mai-Tai 02: I really used this a lot over the last two months and you can finally see a dent in the above photo. The downside of gloss is when you wear your hair down it's constantly dragging through your gloss. Still, this gloss is one of my favorites; I love the color and while it is on the sticky side it also wears pretty good for a gloss. -  Milani Color Statement Lipstick  in Fruit Punch: This is a ...
